FAME REALITY CHECK I saw today that Jennifer Anniston has a stalker. Seriously, this has gone too far. Jennifer Anniston, the 41 year old Friends alum, who is mostly famous for marrying a guy way too good looking for her, then losing him to the biggest Sexpot on the Silver Screen. Ever since that time, she has re-modeled her image into that of a hardbody cougar, and vamps it up just about every chance she gets. I’d like to pour some reality on this whole dynamic…… Jennifer Anniston is dead average. Remember her character in office space. Your run of the mill, Applebees waitress, that looked a hell of a lot better after a couple of Applebeetini’s and Sizzling Shrimp. That was the perfect role for her. It was believable. But her fame and fortune have brought her nutritionists, and personal trainers, and a host of retouchers. Don’t believe the hype. I get the sense everytime I see her half naked in an ad, or on the red carpet that she has one thing really on her mind “Look at me now Brad.”. Here is some Brad reality… He definitely thinks about Jennifer Anniston. He thinks back on the good times (Before Angie seduced him in her trailer). He thinks about them all…Gwyneth, Julia, Demi, Robin Givens even. This is because most guys, look back in fondness on relationships past. They look back on the good times…translation, the Sex. Those are the only memories of relationships past worth salvaging in 99% of mens minds (and NO, your man is not any different, nice try). He doesn’t MISS Jennifer. Not on Angie’s worst day. . So, when Jennifer Anniston poses nude for Vitamin Water… Brad is thinking ”Wish her body was that tight when I was stuck with her.” Have you even seen Brad lately. This guy doesn’t care about Mojo anymore. He has like 10 kids. He is probably just changing diapers, trying to ignore Angie’s incessant nagging, and smiling for the cameras (probably sneaks off to masturbate over his past conquests as often as possible). Any guy that has ever seen Legends of the Fall or Fight Club wanted to be Brad Pitt, for at least a moment. Reality people…his real life is nothing like Tyler Durden making soap and sport f*cking Helene Bohnam Carter (was she actually hot for a minute there?). His real life is a real pain in the ass. My thoughts do not seem the sort that I would ever want to share...until now. This website is a representation of the things I think about everyday...my likes and dislikes, and my opinions on them. The standard media blitz swarmed all over this story, and this 77 year old living legend once again faces misdemeanor charges related to drug possession. There is absolutely no story here. Just knowing who Willie Nelson is, is to know the man is music Royalty, and a habitual pot toker. Six ounces on Willie Nelsons tour bus sounds like he was running a bit low by his standards. But, he is famous, and he got arrested, so its news. For me, it was just a nice reminder that the guy is still alive and kickin. Fame Sucks, but Willie Nelson....You Rule.

That being said...he was the worlds first, and maybe still, greatest Baller. Let Examine some of the reasons why: Lived in Mansion upon Mansion, and Yacht after Yacht. Richie had an Ice Boat, that was a Yacht. Private Jets? Not only did he pioneer that Power Move, his was made of solid gold. Never been replicated. Luxurious travel destinations in his itinerary you ask? How about his own private island. Not enough? How about his own island in the shape of his initial? Think money grows on trees? Richie had real money trees. P.Diddy has an umbrella held for him on the beach. Try having a 20" TV strapped to your butlers back, so you could watch TV as you walk around. First guy to have a tanning machine. Bring your girl some flowers? How about a money bouquet. Gold Brick jacuzzi bathtub, flat screen TV...this was 1960! His tree house had a butler, his dogs house embedded with jewels. I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point. Richie Rich. Original Baller. Respect.

Happy Birthday Daryl Hannah....and thank you. Somewhere around 1995, my family purchased Splash on VHS. They previewed it first, and then allowed my younger brother and I to watch with them. At an appointed time, they instructed us to hide in the bottom of our sleeping bag. Fortunately for me, there was a hole in the bottom of mine. And that was one of the most memorable moments of my young life. And who better in 1995 to see in their natural form (well, besides the mermaid tail), then Daryl Hannah. You set the bar high, and I would not have scripted it any other way. So Happy 50th Birthday Daryl Hannah, and thank you for being one of my first great loves. [slideshow]

[slideshow] Standing 33 feet tall, a giant metal mermaid guards the entrance to the Scottish town of Cumbernauld. Her name is Arria, and she is beautiful. Designed by English sculptor Andy Scott, Arria stretches out her arms towards the town as if to protect it. The sculpture costs over $400,000, but residents are hopeful that she will bring them prosperity and good luck.

Fame Reality Check - I just don't get it. Why are women always going on and on about Johnny Depp being ugly. I mean, Ugly is such a harsh word. I think he is good looking enough. Fame Reality Check- Once upon a time, there was a beautiful movie star, who married a handsome prince of a movie star. They were beauty personified, and the world was their oyster. Uber Successful careers, traveling the world, on the cover of magazines (Sexiest Man Alive). There was seemingly no end to their good fortune. Update. It's over. Divorce. "We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it." is the statement released. Don't you people see it. Their suffering is for you to learn from. FAME SUCKS. So what got in the way, we can only speculate. Their conflicting schedules, their respective superstardom (and hoards of fans), the paparazzi...what can it be. Answer me this. If Ryan and Scarlett were just your average citizens, and not international stars, would this have worked out. If Ryan was a sanitation worker, and Scarlett a a hairdresser in Suburbia, would their loved have failed them. I can tell you this, their chances would be a lot better. Imagine this...they see each other a few days a month. They work with other talented and beautiful people, and they can basically have anything in the world that they want, accept for each others time and attention due to the circumstances of their success. Are you better off being famous and not being able to work out your marriage to Scarlett Johansson (or Ryan Reynolds for that matter). I can promise you this. Right now, Scarlett and or Ryan are somewhere in the world, and they are unhappy. Even if one or both wanted this divorce, they are unhappy with the media attention, the speculation and the loss of what they once believed was enough to influence them into getting married only two years ago. Their success brought them together, and then forced them apart. Now this will all play out in the public arena, and they will have photographers chasing them twice as hard for months to come. You are heading out to your car after work in the company parking lot, and some Creepster that you do not know from a hole in the wall, is standing there waiting for you with a bouquet of roses. He calls your home and professes his love, or threatens anyone that stands in the way of you being joined with him. He steals your panties from the laundromat and makes a hat out of them, and photographs you through the crack in your tanning bed for his candlelit shrine. Your garden variety stalker. Now, I know you do not need to be famous to have a stalker. Plenty of fabulous people have been stalked. But your chances of having a stalker if you are famous are exponentially higher. Almost all the most famous people have some level of stalker. Poor Uma Thurman has been dealing with hers for years. Jack Jordan, who has just been arrested for violating his 5 year probation, seemingly cannot be deterred from his obsession. Uma went through a grueling court case, that did not land Jordan in jail, and now he is back for more, calling her twice this week. For all her Fame and the success that comes along with it, Uma is hiding in a dark room somewhere with body guards standing outside. Doesn't that sound Awesome! So Hugh Hefner is engaged. The 84 year old Playboy Magazine mogul is set to marry the 24 year old Crystal Harris (qualifying for the rarely used Old Enough to be Your Great Grandfather). Harris will be Hef's third wife, prompting me to wonder, what happened to wife number 2? Kimberly Conrad, the mother of Hef's two sons, who just recently divorced from Hef (after 20 years of marriage, half of them spent separated). So after raising his two sons, this former cover model is single, and hopefully...ready to mingle. So I was thinking, what a great story line for America's next reality star. Spurned Ex-wife of the worlds most famous playboy. Replaced by a 24 year old, while she is still only in her 40's herself. Cooped up in some side hut on the Playboy Mansion property for years, as her prime slipped away (and Hef bedded every Bunny he could get his hands on). Who isn't going to root for this woman? Lets set her up in a mansion of her own, and bring in, say, 100 of the youngest, most handsome horndogs we can gather. Have them shower Kimberly with love, and Affection. America's Most Eligible Cougar? This is a great comeback story. This is the American Dream. I wonder if Hef would organize one of his popular "screenings" at the Mansion. Kimberly at a candlelit dinner, Kimberly for a romantic stroll on the beach, Kimberly getting a sun lotion rubdown by six guys with Six packs. Let's dust the cobwebs off this beauty for every woman who has ever been divorced for a younger girl. I say one lust seeking contestant for every bunny Hef bedded since his 1989 nuptials. Boy has this guy had his ups and downs. It is remarkable how many turbulent stories exist about this 47 year old Hollywood product. But when I see him in the midst of some bankruptcy scandal, or when he has a meltdown in some restaurant or nightclub, or when one of his movies tanks...I always try to remind myself (although there truly are many fine moments in his career) of my favorite character that he ever played... the delightfully evil, Castor Troy. Congratulations to Yauch for making Cancer his bitch. Not only are they working to complete their album, but Yauch is also producing a short film about the Beasties. Fight for your Right (Revisited) is based on the true events following their release of the video for the song of the same name in 1987. Elijah Wood, Seth Rogan and Danny McBride will star as the Beasties! Will Ferrel, John C. Reilly and Jack Black are also a part of the cast. Very exciting news indeed....Check out the photo below...

A Real Superhero?! Phoenix Jones is Trying His Best...

So there is apparently an actual caped crusader in the Seattle area. And he is not alone either! Phoenix Jones is part of a Superhero Movement in the Capital Hill area, that includes at least Eight other masked vigilante's, that serve and protect. With the support of the police department, Phoenix spends his nights fighting crime, feeding the homeless and other Superhero tasks. His journey began after he witnessed some injustices to people close to him. He decided to patrol at night, and break up fights. But soon, he was being recognized all the time, so he decided to create his Super Identity, Phoenix Jones. Jones is making national media after he stopped a car jacking last week, and then again made news this week when he was held at gunpoint, while another assailant broke his nose. Jones described the encounter as no big deal. He claims he has been stabbed at held at gunpoint many times now. "When I walk into a neighborhood, criminals leave because they see the suit,” said Jones. “I symbolize that the average person doesn't have to walk around and see bad things and do nothing.”. I for one applaud the efforts of these men and women. Official statements released by the Seattle Police Department are discouraging citizens to Mask up and take to the streets, but I say, why not? The Fox Network announced Wednesday that Actor and Comedian Jamie Foxx is developing a comedey sketch show. The network claims the show will be "in the vein" of the comedy Classic, In Living Color. The show will apparently feature spoofed movie trailers, commericals, TV shows, Celebrities, and Pop Culture. One can only hope this show can achieve a fraction of the success of its predecessor. With a cast including Foxx, Jim Carrey, the Wayans Brothers, David Alan Grier, a Dancing Jennifer Lopez, and more...it was like catching lightening in a bottle, and its cancellation was one of the great disappointments in comedic television history. Fame Sucks - Classic Hollywood Has Returned to the Red Carpet

In a society where paparrazzi media makes front page news on a daily basis, a much richer trend is being overlooked. Classic Hollywood style, sophistication, and class, has returned to the Red Carpet. Not many people can truthfully say they are above taking a peek at pictures of famous people captured in candid moments. The publics interest in the stars of the silver screen is a big part of the reason that the film industry has had such tremendous success in our culture. But there was a time before anyone was photographed anywhere but the red carpet. A place for these artists to artistically express their fashion choices on their own terms, and it has produced a great deal of magical imagery. The style that graces these events is reminiscent of an era almost forgotten. For both Women and Men, you can see your favorite celebrities posing on their way into an awards ceremony, or a premiere looking like they just climbed out of the Roaring 20's. Their certifiable beauty is proof that it is not just skin that sells. For the famous, they will still have to endure a camera stuck in their face as they do their grocery shopping, sneaking a cigarette in between takes, or the ever popular bikini shots during personal vacations with friends and loved ones. A horrible intrusion that most famous individuals must endure. So Fame still Sucks, but thankfully, that has not stopped them from returning to Classic Form.
